Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with four to eight years of experience to join our litigation practice. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and brings the skill and confidence to develop and execute litigation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate the facts, assess claims, and provide well-developed analysis of risk and exposure to guide case strategy and client counsel.
Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs in arbitration, state and federal courts.
Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, argue motions, and represent clients in hearings, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.
Manage multiple matters with a high degree of independence, support and mentor junior associates, and collaborate closely with partners on case strategy.
Advise clients on litigation risk, compliance issues, and strategic business decisions, and develop the relationships and judgment to serve as a trusted client contact.
Contribute to firm development, thought leadership, business development, and mentorship of junior attorneys consistent with Grove’s values.
Qualifications
Required:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California Bar in good standing.
4-8 years of litigation experience at a national or top-tier boutique law firm.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a remote environment.
Preferred:
Admission to the New York Bar.
Judicial clerkship experience.
Experience with arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution.

Salary Range
$200,000 – $300,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus, depending on experience and qualifications
